Welcome to Walk-In Chef. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and website. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Overview

Walk-In Chef provides professional cooking services at your premises. Our chefs will prepare meals according to your selected menu in your kitchen.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 Services Included:

• Full cooking and meal preparation as per selected menu
• Professional dish presentation and garnishing
• Cleaning of cooking area, slab, and gas burner used during service
• Provision of ingredients list after booking confirmation

2.2 Services Not Included:

• Utensil and dish washing
• Serving or table laying
• Carrying ingredients, appliances, or utensils to or from the client's premises
• Provision of cooking equipment (except where specifically agreed)

3. Booking & Payment Terms

3.1 Booking Confirmation

• To confirm a booking, 40% of the total service cost (including GST) must be paid at the time of booking
• This advance payment is non-refundable and secures your booking date
• The final price may vary depending on items selected and applicable discounts

3.2 Payment Processing

• All payments are processed securely through our integrated payment gateway
• Full payment must be completed before the scheduled service date
• The full-service address must be provided after payment confirmation

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

4.1 Cancellation

• Once the booking is confirmed and payment is made, no refunds will be issued
• We understand that plans may change, therefore we offer rescheduling options

4.2 Rescheduling

• Date changes are available for FREE until 24 hours before the chef is confirmed
• In case of unavoidable circumstances, clients may reschedule their booking, subject to chef availability
• Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before service may incur additional charges

5. Additional Charges

5.1 Overtime Charges

• Any service time exceeding the confirmed duration will attract an overtime fee of ₹8 per minute
• Overtime will be calculated in 15-minute increments

5.2 Additional Services

• Additional services or items requested beyond the original booking may result in extra charges
• All additional charges will be communicated and approved by the client prior to execution

6. Modifications to Booking

• If you wish to modify your booking (menu, timing, or chef preference), please inform us at least 24 hours in advance
• We will try our best to accommodate such requests based on availability
• Menu changes may affect the final pricing
• Last-minute modifications may not be possible due to ingredient procurement timelines

7. Client Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and accessible cooking area
• Ensure all necessary cooking utilities (gas, electricity, water) are available
• Provide accurate service address and contact information
• Be available at the scheduled service time or appoint a representative
• Inform about any food allergies or dietary restrictions in advance

8. Chef Responsibilities

• Arrive on time with fresh ingredients as per the selected menu
• Maintain professional hygiene and cooking standards
• Clean the cooking area after service completion
• Follow all safety protocols in the client's kitchen

9. Liability

• Walk-In Chef is not liable for any pre-existing damage to client's property
• Clients are responsible for any damage caused to chef's equipment due to client negligence
• We carry appropriate insurance for our services and personnel

10. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or other emergencies.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [Your City/State].

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitute acceptance of the modified terms.
